December 13th, 2021 is China's eighth official National Memorial Day for Nanjing Massacre victims and the 84th anniversary of the massacre. In order to mourn the victims of the Nanjing Massacre, and in memory of the revolutionary martyrs, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Youth League Committee held a flag-raising ceremony with the theme of ‘Remember History, and do not Forget National Humiliation’. All the teachers, students and staff of Anqing Foreign Language School attended this activity.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the school flag guard team walked slowly, escorting the bright five-star red flag with vigorous pace. Then, in the solemn national anthem, the five-star red flag rose slowly in solemn scene. After the flag-raising ceremony, student Wu Qiangwei from Class 5, Grade 7 made a speech entitled ‘Remember History and do not Forget National Humiliation’ to call on all the students to study hard, enhance their skills, become responsible, ambitious, self-reliant Chinese and strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
